A NORMAL SNOW SHIFT

You took a job clearing snow in the forest. You need the money, and the work seems simple enough: bring your shovel, clear the paths, and go home when you are finished. As you work your way through the dark, you begin finding things buried beneath the snow. There are places worth investigating, doors you cannot open yet, and something moving between the trees.

THE MONSTER

Anouk lives in the forest. She has dark fur, long pale fingers, and a single large eye that watches you from the darkness. Your torch can reveal her, but its light also gives away your position. Turning it off does not mean she has lost you. When she follows you, the paths you cleared and the hiding places you found may be what gets you through the encounter.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Explore a snowy forest, clear paths to move faster, and collect items to solve puzzles. There is no combat, so surviving means paying attention to your surroundings and knowing when to hide. What you discover and what you choose to do can lead to five different endings. Made with PICO-8 for keyboard and mouse.
